The municipal theatre is located on the edge of the Centre of Nijmegen at the Keizer karelplein, less than 5 minutes walk from main Railway Station Nijmegen and the bus station. There is also plenty of parking.

The municipal theatre was renovated in 2003. In the same year, the building was designated as a municipal monument. Since 2013 is also a national monument.
